Both of the HEK293 and CHO cells are available for Mammalian Cell expression system,if you don't have any special request for the host cell, we will choose HEK293T cells preferentially,because compared with the CHO cells, HEK293 cells have high growth rate, are easy to transfect, and have high expression of exogenous protein.

In the endosome, the acidic pH induces conformational changes in the glycoprotein trimer, which trigger fusion between virus and cell membrane. There is convincing in vitro evidence that the muscular form of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR), the neuronal cell adhesion molecule (NCAM), and the p75 neurotrophin receptor (p75NTR) bind glycoprotein and thereby facilitate rabies virus entry into cells.
