    ompC antibody is a rabbit polyclonal IgG raised against recombinant ompC (22-367aa) of Escherichia coli O157:H7 origin. It was synthesized in a rabbit and purified by protein G. Its purity is over 95%. This ompC antibody is recommended for the detection of Escherichia coli O157:H7 ompC protein by ELISA and WB.

    ompC protein is involved in the formation of porins in the outer membrane of Gram-negative bacteria, including E. coli. It allows for the uptake of nutrients and antibiotics, as well as the efflux of toxins and metabolic waste products. It has also been implicated in virulence and pathogenesis in E. coli.
