CUSABIO yields the anti-bla antibody (CSB-PA352353YA01ENL) in the rabbits immunized with a peptide corresponding to amino acids 24-286 of the E.coli bla protein. This bla polyclonal antibody only shows reactivity with E.coli bla protein, which is responsible for the hydrolyzation of the beta-lactam bond in susceptible beta-lactam antibiotics, thus conferring resistance to penicillins and cephalosporins. It exists as an unconjugated IgG isotype. And it has been purified by protein G and is more than 95% pure. This antibody can recognize bla protein in ELISA analysis.
