Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

SEMA4D Macaca mulatta recombinant protein produced in mammalian cells is a single polypeptide containing the amino acid sequence that encodes Phe24 - Arg734 of the Macaca mulatta SEMA4D and having a molecular weight of approximately 90 kDa on SDS-PAGE. This recombinant SEMA4D protein is expressed a 10xHis-tag at C-Terminus. Its purity is greater than 95% measured by SDS-PAGE. It contains low endotoxin, less than 1.0 EU/ug determined by the LAL method. In the functional ELISA, this SEMA4D protein can bind to the anti-SEMA4D recombinant antibody, with EC₅₀ of 1.943-2.724 ng/mL, confirming it is an active protein.

SEMA4D, also known as CD100, plays an important role in the immune and nervous systems. It is involved in platelet inactivation, angiogenesis stimulation, and bone formation regulation. SEMA4D expressed on osteoclasts is a coupling factor that suppresses osteoblast differentiation. As a result, inhibiting SEMA4D could be beneficial to bone growth. SEMA4D is also highly expressed in a variety of tumor tissues, including squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck, prostate cancer, and colon cancer. SEMA4D-Plexin B1 signaling is frequently dysregulated in malignancies, implying that SEMA4D plays a role in cancer progression, invasion, tumor angiogenesis, tumor-associated macrophage modulation, and skeletal metastasis.
